Invest CPF + Crypto: A tiny step out of our comfort zone
Last lap of 2021...
Here's a mandatory update of our Stockscafe figures:
Honestly not much changes as we haven't been buying anything.
As for robos, we will do an update at the end of the year instead.
*Current Dividends till date for 2021: SGD3304.97*
Endowus (CPF)
About 4 months ago, we finally decided to jump onto the bandwagon of investing a tiny part of our CPF $ with Endowus. We used Fund Smart and selected a total of 3 funds which amounts up to 100% equity. Since we are just trying it out, we only invested SGD 3k each. Here's the portfolio + growth chart:
Since it's 100% equity, it fluctuates quite a bit. However currently it has about 6% gains (higher than what is given by CPF even after deducting the fees charged by CPFIA & Endowus). We do not intend to top up at the moment and will see how it goes after a year.
*each time you top up to your CPFIA, you're charged a fee of 2-3 bucks*
Crypto Savings Account (Celsius)
I know we're slightly late to this but I finally decided to give this a shot and diversify 1% (it's a pathetic amount of 600SGD) of my portfolio into Crypto. As for my other half, he is still not keen on it and so it's just me on this Crypto journey for now.
I bought 0.01BTC through GEMINI ActiveTrader and I think the fees are at 0.5% which is quite reasonable.
Figures shown are in USD. So my current BTC value is ~SGD950 (including price fluctuations, interest as well as freebies from promo benefits). Of course, what goes up will come down so for now my plan is to just hold and keep generating interest. It was also interesting to learn more and the process of buying it. If you're interested, do sign up via my referral link for Celsius and Gemini.
That's all for now!
On a side note, we just bought our low-grade foldies and have been cycling quite a bit during these few weeks.
Do comment if you like us to share our cycling adventures + bike reviews.
Thanks for reading!
